OnePlus is preparing to bring the new flagship OnePlus 15 to strengthen its position in the premium smartphone market. The phone will come in the market as the successor of last year’s popular model OnePlus 13. According to information leaked by various technology sources, the new phone is going to have major upgrades in design, processor and battery.
The phone is expected to be first unveiled in the Indian market in October and will hit the global market in early 2026.
New design in camera module
After using the round camera module for three consecutive generations, OnePlus is making a big change. The new OnePlus 15 phone will feature a Square design camera module, which is very similar to the OnePlus 13S.
According to the leaked information, its triple camera setup could include:
A powerful main sensor of 50 megapixels
An ultra-wide sensor
and a periscope-style telephoto sensor for advanced zooming
Performance and battery
According to reliable leaker ‘Digital Chat Station’, the OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. It is likely to have a custom Orion CPU and Adreno 840 GPU, which will add a new dimension to gaming and multitasking.
But the biggest surprise might be the battery. The phone may be powered by a massive 7,000 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery, one of the largest in the world for a premium flagship phone. It may have 100W fast charging facility for fast charging.
New technology in display
The OnePlus 15 may feature a 1.5K flat OLED display. Its bezel or the рамка (edge) around the phone will be extremely thin. This is possible due to the use of LIPO display technology, which helps to make the bezel thinner, more durable and brighter.
Possible price and launch time
OnePlus 15 may be launched in the Indian market first in October. Last year, OnePlus 13’s 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant started at Rs 69,999. The new model is expected to be priced in the same premium range.
