Bitcoin touched a new record in early Asian trade on Thursday, buoyed by possible policy easing by the Federal Reserve and recent financial reforms. The world’s top cryptocurrency rose as much as 0.9 percent to $1,24,002.49, surpassing last July’s record. Ether rose to $4,780.04 on the same day, the highest since late 2021. News Reuters.

IG Markets analyst Tony Sycamore said assurances of lower interest rates, increased institutional investment and the Trump administration’s move to ease crypto investment have accelerated bitcoin’s rise. According to him, Bitcoin can go up to $150,000 if it stabilizes above $125,000.

Bitcoin is up about 32 percent so far in 2025. Last week, an executive order authorized the investment of crypto assets in US retirement 401(k) accounts, which had a positive impact on the market.
