11 people from Bangladesh are going to China for training to manage the drone show. The one-month training will be held in Shanghai and Guangzhou, China.

Culture Advisor Mustafa Saryar Faruqi gave this information in the chief guest’s speech at the ceremony and press conference organized on the occasion of drone training at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Wednesday (August 13).

He said, ‘Drones are the new medium of storytelling. A fusion of technology and art. It is also one of the means of creating narrative. Recently six drone shows in collaboration with China have become hugely popular among the younger generation.’

Many young people worked behind the drone show, he said, ‘They brainstormed to see what could be done. We saw that the shows created a lot of engagement with people.’

The month-long training will be provided in Shanghai and Guangzhou, China. All the training costs will be borne by China, said the adviser on culture.

He also said that soon a team of 15 members will go to China for training in painting conservation and they will return and train in this regard. A team will also go to China for the expansion of the museum.

The adviser expressed optimism that new doors will be opened between the Ministry of Culture and China in the promotion of traditional media and new media and preservation of cultural heritage. Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen assured full cooperation in these fields.
