The company is bringing the Pro version to increase the range of the lineup. The upcoming ‘TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G’ was recently spotted on Google’s official platform ‘Google Play Console’. Along with the listing, the device’s model number and several key specifications have been leaked online.

Model number confirmed and global launch glimpsed
Pova 8 Pro 5G is newly added to the list of supported devices of Google Play Console. According to the listing, the phone is registered online with the model number ‘Tecno-LK7’. The name and model number appearing on the Google Play console clearly means that Tecno is going to officially launch this Pro handset in select markets around the world very soon.

Dimension 7300 chipset and Android 16
According to ExpertPeak’s report, the Pro version will get a big upgrade over the regular Pova 8 in terms of performance. The Pova 8 Pro 5G phone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6878 chipset, which is basically the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7300 (Dimensity 7300 SoC) processor.

The chipset will have four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz to handle heavy gaming and multitasking. It features ARM Mali-G615 GPU for graphics. Also, the phone will have a huge 12 GB RAM and it will run on Google’s latest Android 16 operating system.

High-resolution display with 520 ppi density
Pova 8 Pro 5G has a lot of emphasis on display quality. It has a flat cutout 1,208×2,644 pixel resolution high-definition display. The screen will offer 520 PPI (PPI) pixel density, which means every visual will be crystal clear while watching content or gaming. And there is a modern hole-punch cutout right in the middle of the display for the selfie camera.

Battery life
As a signature feature of the Pova series, this phone also has a large battery. According to the leaks, the Pro model could be powered by a 6,340mAh (6340mAh) battery. Although it is slightly smaller in size than the 8,000 mAh battery of the base model Pova 8, it will be able to offer great battery efficiency and long backup thanks to the 4-nanometer architecture of the Dimension 7300 chip.
