According to various reports, the new device will be different from the PSP and PS Vita. Because it will be made for remote play on PlayStation 5 console. However, nothing has been officially announced by Sony yet. But Insider Gaming’s information has proven true before.
Adaptive streaming of up to 1080 pixels with 60 frames per second is available on QLite devices. But for this the device must always have an active internet connection. The prototype of the device is similar to PlayStation 5 controllers. The device has an 8-inch LCD touchscreen panel.
Qlight will have adaptive triggers. It will offer a gaming experience similar to a handheld PlayStation. It will have an audio input jack, speakers and volume up and down buttons like a typical handheld device. The QLite device is positive for those who want to stream in high resolution. However, as of now, QLite devices (handheld PlayStation) do not have cloud streaming capabilities. Cloud streaming is very popular these days.
An official announcement is now pending regarding the official launch of the QLite device. According to Insider Gaming, the QLite may be released before the PlayStation 5 Pro. This device can be used by adding a removable disk drive.
Sony has had a mixed experience in bringing out handheld devices in the past. The company will also bring the PS VR2 headset in the future. So analysts are waiting to see how Qlight gaming device will be. Gamers are looking forward to know more details about this new device.
