Google has launched its own AI-mode search agent to allow users to quickly find specific information. Apart from Google search information, various benefits such as AI assistants can be obtained by using artificial intelligence (AI) agents called ‘Information Agents’.
The feature was first announced at the Google I/O 2026 conference held last May. The search agent is currently being rolled out to Google AI Ultra customers in a phased manner. According to Google, information agents can conduct regular online surveillance to gather information about a particular subject. After that, any new information, announcements are quickly notified to the user. As a result, there will be no need to repeatedly search for updated information on the same topic.
According to Google, Information Agents Agent can collect and analyze information from various sources such as newspapers, blogs, social media, online shopping platforms and sports. As a result, the agent can identify and summarize new information that matches the user’s instructions.
To use information agents in AI mode, instructions such as ‘keep me updated on’ or ‘alert me when’ should be given. After that, the agent will take responsibility for monitoring the related matter. A summary will be sent to the user when new information is available.
Currently, Information Agents is only open to Google AI Ultra customers. The monthly cost of Google’s premium service is 99.99 to 199.99 US dollars per customer. AI Mode – The feature is being rolled out in all supported languages and regions.
